Activity Short Description:
For one weekend, I will be helping the PTO to run the tradition of celebrating Halloween at school. My role will be to help with the preparation and to guide the attending kinds in the haunted house.
Personal Goal for the Activity:
I hope to make this Halloween celebration the best in the history of the school, to see kids scared but laughing, and to better collaborate with my classmates. My role is key for the well-functioning of the celebration and to accomplish all the goals at the same time. I will know if I have achieved my objectives if I see the smiles of the kids on their faces.
Anticipated Learning Outcomes:

At some point of the celebration, I will have to scare the children. In order for them to have a good time and not have nightmares, I will have to consider the ethics of my actions towards the kids.
Reflections
During the activity
Unfortunately, I was not able to attend on Saturday because I had a basketball match at the same time. However, I did attend on Sunday, and I sincerely has plenty to fun. I arrived at 10 in the morning and already started to work to set the haunted house. My role, apart from th preparations, was to be in a room in the haunted house. There, I would try to scare the people who came in. I had a scary mask on and was accompained by a machete. I think I was successful at my job as people seemed scared (but not too much) and thanked us at the end of the haunted house. The scenery could definitely be scary, especially for the many little kids that came in, but we made sure to take a fun picture with them and talk to them at the end to make them know it was a setup. Throughout the day, we completed everything that we set as objectives and finally raised almost one thousand euros to be used for other CAS activities. Even though I spent an entire weekend day at school, I still felt proud of our job as a team and felt like we completed our job successfully.
